By the end of the year, it featured nickel-covered P-90 pickups, an inlaid Epiphone logo on the headstock, and reverse parallelogram fretboard inlays. The tortoiseshell pickguard was also replaced with a multi-ply white version. Early examples included a brass headstock badge before being replaced with a silkscreen logo.

Upon its introduction, the Casino featured dot fretboard inlays, black plastic-covered P-90 pickups, a tortoiseshell pickguard, and a sloped dovewing headstock with Kluson Deluxe tuning machines with ivory buttons.
